Recently Hurricane Dennis
destroyed and damaged many homes in the Southeast. One of the nation's largest
investors in residential mortgage is Freddie Mac. Freddie extended relief
policies for borrowers affected by disasters like the one caused by Hurricane
Dennis.
The nations mortgage services are working together with
Freddie Mac to bring financial relief to home owners affected by the recent
hurricane. It is strongly recommended by Freddie to contact mortgage services
for immediate relief for damages caused by Hurricane Dennis.
Highly suggested by Freddie Mac. Mortgage services should
extend other strategies in order to help those with Freddie Mac Owned loans by
waiving late fees and assessment penalties against the borrowers; by not
reporting delinquents or forbearance as a result of the damage caused by the
nation's Credit Bureau; and lastly in order to release insurance proceeds for
borrowers to attain labor, materials, and other resources greatly needed by
home owners for repairs on their damaged or destroyed homes.
